SMARTCANE

Classroom Project, 2017, Team of 3

Objective: Helping visually impaired people understand their environment

We created the concept of "Smart Cane" for the visually impaired using the Arduino platform and ultrasonic sensors to detect obstacles. The cane connects to a mobile app via bluetooth to get audio feedback about distance remaining and haptic feedback on the handle of the stick.
