SMARTCANE
Classroom Project, 2017, Team of 3
Objective: Helping visually impaired people understand their environment
We created the concept of "Smart Cane" for the visually impaired using the Arduino platform and ultrasonic sensors to detect obstacles. The cane connects to a mobile app via bluetooth to get audio feedback about distance remaining and haptic feedback on the handle of the stick.
PROCESS
01
Collecting all the necessary material for the project

02
Creating a task flow to understand the sequence of actions

03
The circuit and block diagram helped us with the assembly of the prototype

04
Using the Proteus simulator to test it and then conducted a physical test

05
Assembling the physical part of the prototype

06
Creating the mobile application using MIT App Inventor
